I installed Android-x86 on my ASUS Eee PC in a matter of minutes following the detailed installation instructions. The hardest part of the process on Windows was using UnetBootin to build a bootable USB stick.
Seems like a fun way to hack around with Android. You don't even have to wipe the drive since it will also run in LiveCD mode.
Give it a try. I tried to install Todo Q for grins, but installation failed. Not sure if they only support native apps or what... gonna try to find out.
